We carry out Mostap sampling using a CPT rig. The samples are "undisturbed" 35mm in diameter and up to 1000mm long under ideal conditions. The sampler is most effective up to 10 meters deep but we have modified it to be able to withdraw samples up to 20 meters.

Osimo uses 35mm AP van den Berg samplers which are advanced into the soil with the CPTu rig, these yield a 60mm diameter sample and can reach up to 995mm length. These samples are suitable for profiling and material identification and is recommended for use in sand, silt and clays.
